COO Graham Richardson’s vision for Growth minds

COO Graham' Richard’s vision for Growth minds: tighter feedback loops, better event visibility, more 1:1 connections and growth that benefits us all.

During the pandemic, I scaled my business, More Streams, with a fully remote team.

Like many people, I felt the deep absence of human social interactions. That experience reinforced how crucial in-person relationships are—online meetings & faceless emails simply don’t compare.

I love the saying "if you're the smartest person in the room, find a new room" and from my discussions with members so far, I think I've found that room in Growth minds.

I'm looking forward to serving this great community and building upon the impressive foundation that Vincent, Hanna, Robin, Isabel and Linda have already built.

The most important priority for Growth minds is delivering real value to our members.

Everything we do should enhance your experience and strengthen this community. Building my own business, I learned that "what gets measured gets managed."

That’s why at Growth minds, I’m committed to constantly "measuring" your satisfaction with Growth minds by listening to you directly in a structured, repeating fashion, and using that information to drive tangible improvements. Read on to hear about how I plan to achieve this.

Member Input: Quarterly Feedback System

To keep Growth minds evolving with its members, I’m introducing a Quarterly Feedback System—At the last table of each quarter, all members will complete a 3 minute online questionnaire—anonymous and focused on listening to your needs. We will use this direct feedback to constantly improve Growth minds in your image.

Scheduling: A Clear and Accessible Event Calendar

In my conversations with current members, this was one of the most-requested items. Growth minds members now have access to a live event calendar that syncs directly with personal calendar apps. This ensures that upcoming events are always visible. We’re also committing to sending event invites two or more weeks in advance so members can plan accordingly.

Expansion: Growing to 100 Members

Like every network, this one benefits exponentially from each new node. By selectively expanding to 100 members by the end of the year, we will enhance this network with valuable experience and insight.

Our vetting process prioritizes those who give back to others, reinforcing a dynamic, high-value ecosystem. Like top business school alumni networks, we are building an institution where every added individual enhances opportunities for the collective.

One-On-One Connections: Fika Forum

Members I've spoken to consistently highlight their love for the supportive community aspects of Growth minds while also expressing a strong desire to build more one-on-one connections.

To directly address this need, I’m launching Fika Forum, a structured one-on-one meetup initiative. Members can provide their availabilities for future dates and opt in to meet another Growth minds member for an informal sit-down—without knowing in advance who they’ll be paired with.

This initiative recognizes that the most unexpected meetings can often be the most valuable—everyone has something to teach us, and we never know what insights or opportunities might emerge from a conversation.

During this process, members will also get the option to preview the Mutual Mentorship Manual, an opt-in program designed by Growth minds co-founders Vincent Weir and Hanna Moisander. This structured program empowers two members to mutually coach each other, maximizing the value of their one-on-one interactions while providing meaningful support. It serves as an individualized extension of the Growth minds experience for pairs of members who want to take their peer-mentorship to the next level.

Looking Ahead

My focus is simple—build on the strong foundation that Vincent and Hanna have put in place by listening to members, improving structure, expanding the organization, and enhancing one-on-one connections. By implementing these initiatives, we ensure that Growth minds continues to grow in a way that’s serving its members in the best way possible.

I look forward to meeting you all in person soon.
